Fortnite is a video game that was released in 2018. This game was originally supposed to be a player vs environment game. The game went straight into popularity and the players unknown battlefield which was the last man to be standing competition death match.
The producer Epic Games fiddled with the existing game and then were able to release their own Battle Royale game that was free.
A 100 player PVP experience the Fortnite battle Royal has its own take on PUBG format and of course popularity was excellent, and they brought in 1 million players on the debut. With a recording of so far 1.3 million users co existing in December 2017 with total amount a whopping 30 million players all up.
This game is not going anywhere soon it has brought in the popularity from the base game with the player base that will give it the competitive e-sports nudge it needs. Fortnite works with two game modes. You have the standard player versus the mode and the Battle Royale.
The standard game is like a sandbox survival. It focuses on crafting weapons and going through hostile land. The player needs to build structures to be able to defend themselves when there is an onslaught of monsters that scavenge for certain resources then put them to good use. The Battle Royale is similar to other games in the same group as Player unknown battleground.
With up to 100 players in four-man groups or solo if you prefer you get dropped into an island by a parachute and see who lasts the longest and be granted the last team or last man standing.
You have to scavenge for weapons and shelter, build defense shelters and be ready when storms hit.
The storm isn’t a weather storm but a mechanic that goes smaller on the safe parts of the map. This is to get players going towards each other, so the game doesn’t go on forever.
By getting caught by the storm you take in a few hits of damage and eventually you will end up dying.
Battle Royale took to everyone straight away and with its free to play release where users can download the royale battle mode and play freely with the option to purchase extras if you like.
