Is it an eSport yet? No wonder the Fortnite has received a lot of success in viewership as well as playerbase. The game has yet to have some serious esports appeal outside the local LAN tournaments.
Although the makers have acknowledged the demand for creating a competitive esport scene around the game, an organized league is yet to be officially confirmed.
There are several professional teams that take part in the Fornite: Battle Royale esports scene. For example, the TeamSoloMid recent made an official announcement saying that they are creating a Fortnite team and they even went ahead to sign a player.
However, a proper and well organized league for the much popular Fortnite game is yet to be officially released.
