By the end of February, fans of the very notorious game Fortnite are going to be greeted with the newest version of the game as season 8 is just around the corner. However, there are loads and loads of updates and new features and skins that are expected to join the eighth season of Fortnite; newer maps are to be added, natural disasters – volcanoes and tornados – are going to take place and a monstrous entity is going to erupt as soon as Fortnite season 8 arrives.
Yet, there are also a couple of features that are getting abandoned and will be either removed or replaced in the gaming sessions. The controversial feature of the planes of the Fortnite battle arena is going to be eliminated from the game even though it’s been around for a little while. The X4 Stormwing – the notorious Fortnite plane – is reportedly not going to appear in the next season of the game despite its good qualities and the intensity it brings to the game.
Fortnite Season 7 > 8
The first appearance of the X4 Stormwing happened with the start of Fortnite season 7 which illuminates the fact that the plane didn’t even get the chance to carry out its role in the game. The feature of planes in the Fortnite Battle Royale world brought about some intensity and power to the field and with the planes being cancelled in the upcoming season, there must be some other equally interesting feature Epic Games is planning to debut by February 28th. In an official comment on the removal of the planes, Epic Games stated that the planes are indeed not making an appearance in the upcoming season; yet, the removal of this feature doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t come back. Multiple features – and vehicles – of Fortnite have been suspended from game for some time and after a while they come back in a better place or they make a cameo appearance in the next versions.

On the other hand, some of Fortnite enthusiastic players are actually looking forward to the next season more eagerly in order to know what new features are going to replace the suspended ones. And for those who want the planes back, there is no need to worry, Epic Games continues to improve and modify the planes and they’re expected to return later this year. Nevertheless, even though the X4 Stormwing isn’t going to be available in the eighth season, the next Fortnite edition is surely bringing about some newly created features with many skins, weapons and, perhaps, a couple of new maps as well.
